About the Artwork


Born from the artist’s own journey from a life of constant doing to one that honours intentional stillness, this piece invites the viewer to pause. It captures rest through a part of the body most associated with motion the legs reminding us that stillness is not the opposite of movement, but what gives it meaning. Rendered in charcoal with traces of copper acrylic, its raw, imperfect marks mirror the quiet surrender required in both art and life.
